The verification code isn't arriving or keeps failing — the checklist that resolves almost every case.

Most failures: a wrong number or dialing code, an expired code, or codes requested too quickly. Work the checklist in order.

Who this is for: merchants stuck on phone verification in Messaging.

The checklist

  1. Check the dialing code and number. Usually it's a right number under the wrong country code — dialing code entered separately, no leading zero.

  2. Enter the code promptly. Codes expire quickly — if yours sat unread, request a fresh one and use it immediately.

  3. Don't rapid-fire resends. Several requests trigger a short cooldown. Wait a couple of minutes, request once more, and use exactly that code — a new code kills earlier ones.

  4. Complete the security check. Human verification must pass before a code is sent. Keeps failing? Try another browser or disable script-blocking extensions.

  5. Verified the wrong number? Disconnect it in Messaging and verify the right one — effective immediately.

Still not arriving?

Dialing code right, cooldown passed, still nothing? The delivery route to your carrier or region may be at fault — ours to chase, not yours.

Limits

Only one number is verified at a time, and only it can run your store — a security choice, not a limitation to work around.

Still stuck?

Message us your dialing code and roughly when you last requested one — no need for the full number. Setup: [Connect WhatsApp].
