Install Bolt from the Shopify App Store, approve the permissions, and syncing starts on its own — the onboarding wizard then walks you through going live.
Who this is for: Shopify merchants installing Bolt, or who just clicked "Install" and want to know what's next.
Bolt in one sentence
Bolt answers shoppers on your storefront from your store's own data, and lets you run the store — sales, orders, stock, prices, coupons — from WhatsApp or Telegram, always asking before changing anything.
What the install asks for
The install screen shows the exact list: the data Bolt answers from and acts on — products, orders, customers, discounts — plus theme access to add the widget as a theme app embed.
What happens automatically
Bolt syncs your products, policies, pages, and blog posts into its knowledge — no spreadsheets, no writing answers first. Sync repeats daily.
What the wizard asks next
The wizard walks you through, in order:
putting the chat widget on your storefront
trying an audio highlight
connecting WhatsApp
setting up your audio briefing
Finish later if you like — nothing breaks. The widget step makes Bolt visible, so do it first.
What this doesn't do
Installing shows shoppers nothing — the widget appears only after you enable it (next article). Bolt never messages your customers on its own, and your theme's look doesn't change.
Still stuck?
Next step: [Put the chat widget on your storefront]. If the install fails, message us — we read every one.
